Terms of Service

By accessing or using Onboard (onboard.qzz.io), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using any part of Onboard, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and agree to be bound by them and our Privacy Policy.

If you are using Onboard on behalf of a business or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Description of Services

Onboard is a client management platform for freelancers and small agencies. It provides tools for project management, client portals, invoicing, contract management, messaging, and related workflow functionality.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account creation

To use Onboard, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.

3.2 Accuracy of information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date. We may suspend accounts found to contain false or misleading information.

3.3 Account security

Notify us immediately at support@onboard.qzz.io if you suspect unauthorised use of your account. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorised access due to your failure to protect your credentials.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Onboard to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Send spam, unsolicited messages, or phishing communications to clients via the platform
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or any software intended to disrupt or damage systems
  • Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the platform in an automated manner
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or entity
  • Use the platform for any purpose that competes directly with Onboard without our written consent

5. Payment & Billing

5.1 Free plan

Onboard's core features are available free of charge indefinitely. No credit card is required for the free plan.

5.2 Paid plans

If you subscribe to a paid plan, you agree to pay all applicable fees. Fees are charged in Indian Rupees (INR) unless stated otherwise. All payments are processed securely through our payment partners.

5.3 Refunds

We offer a 14-day refund on first-time subscriptions if you contact us within 14 days of your first charge. Subsequent renewals are non-refundable except where required by law.

5.4 Price changes

We will provide at least 30 days' notice before changing subscription prices. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Platform ownership

Onboard and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Vedansh Danot and licensed under the MIT License for the open-source components. The Onboard brand, logo, and commercial service remain proprietary.

6.2 Your content

You retain all rights to the content you create using Onboard — client records, invoices, contracts, messages, and files. You grant us a limited licence to store and process this content solely for the purpose of providing the service.

7. Your Data

Your data belongs to you. We do not sell, rent, or share your client data with third parties for commercial purposes. Data handling is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Upon account deletion, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

8. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time from account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law.

Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Provisions regarding intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Onboard and its founder shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₹5,000, whichever is greater.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
